Treks
Camel treks and walking trips with vehicle assistance
Walking trips are without a doubt the most natural and traditional way of travelling in the Sahara. They are the closest form of travel to the lifestyle of Saharan people: for us, moving and travelling once meant walking.
Walking trips, whether riding on a camel or trekking with camels or cars to carry your baggage, offer travellers deep contact with the terrain and the chance to share daily life close to the rhythms of the nomads.
Travelling on foot allows you to observe countless details that only a walker can notice: it is the best way to understand the environment “under a microscope.”

4x4 Expeditions
Unique adventures in the desert
As pioneers of numerous first-time crossings and discoverers of new routes, now considered classics, we take particular care in organizing 4×4 expeditions. We carefully choose routes, transport, camping materials, supplies, and guide teams.
Our fleet includes Toyota Land Cruisers and Range Rovers, specially equipped for desert travel and prepared in line with the modern style of Saharan expeditions.
A full immersion into the Chadian desert
Driving through the dunes, crossing the Mourdi or the Djourab… A 4×4 trip is always an exciting experience, offering a wide-angle, panoramic view of the Chadian desert. We also include walking treks to immerse yourself in an environment where nature dictates the rhythms of life.

Rock Art
The rock treasures of the Sahara
The northern regions of Chad are exceptionally rich in rock art, with a unique large-scale distribution across the Sahara. Caves and shelters are abundant, decorated with rock paintings or engravings dating from various periods spanning the Holocene, from the Archaic phase to the Pastoral phase, and through to the Horse and Camel phase. The variety of themes, styles, and techniques suggests that these cultural expressions in Chad have continued uninterrupted for thousands of years, despite desertification significantly altering life in this area of the southern Sahara.
On all our trips, time is dedicated to exploring Saharan prehistory, with the invaluable assistance of our guides and with utmost respect for the rock art sites. These locations offer an unforgettable atmosphere and must be protected.
Climbing
Climbing in a unique atmosphere
Climbing in the Sahara means climbing in solitude in an extraordinary setting where mountains and desert blend into a breath-taking reality. A short morning walk under the African sun, a summit offering unforgettable desert views, and a campfire bivouac with green tea after a day of climbing are just a few ingredients of this adventure.
Massifs for Climbing
Three massifs offer excellent opportunities: Tibesti, Ennedi, and Guera.
- Tibesti: Basalt rock faces climbed a few times 50 years ago.
- Ennedi: A sandstone massif with bizarre shapes, cliffs, towers, and arches seemingly waiting for climbers. In 2010, we guided the “North Face” team to this impressive massif.
- Guera: A granite massif featuring inselbergs with rock faces up to 300 metres high.
