Ennedi, Saharan Garden

This 4x4 expedition takes you on a voyage of discovery of the Ennedi massif and the lakes of Ounianga, both classified as Unesco World Heritage. Ennedì, remote and still rarely visited, is an immense, labyrinthine, rocky citadel, crossed by deep canyons that hide wild flora and gueltas, frequented by proud Toubou nomads and their herds of camels.
The Guelta de Archeï, the watering ground for hundreds of camels, surrounded by high walls covered in cave paintings; the off-road crossing of the Mourdi Depression, a corridor of sand and dunes swept by the harmattan; north of the massif, the steel-blue lakes of Ounianga, bordered by palm trees and concealed in the heart of the desert; and also Toukou, Terkei, Abayke, Sabi: they all go to make this expedition a journey full of emotion, an indisputable “must” for a traveller in the Sahara.
