Philosophy

Expert preparation for a safe exploration

The Chadian Desert offers areas of great beauty but is also one of the most hostile places for human life. For this reason, the organization and execution of a Saharan journey require specialized technical and human preparation. Our team of guides, driver-mechanics, and cooks is an invaluable resource to ensure a smooth and enriching experience.

A deep understanding of the land and its traditions

With extensive experience in nomadic life and an in-depth knowledge of the terrain, we enable travelers to appreciate every aspect of the Chadian desert. The interest in the desert is not just about the stunning landscapes of rocks and dunes, the isolated oases, or the freedom one breathes while traveling, but also about discovering the people and their traditions, the geology of the land, and the rich history and prehistory of civilizations that once thrived in this once-fertile region.

Rock art and prehistoric heritage

A cultural treasure to protect

All our trips include time for the discovery of Saharan prehistory, with the invaluable guidance of our expert guides and in full respect of the rock art sites. These places create a truly unforgettable atmosphere and must be preserved for future generations.

Surprising flora and fauna

A more diverse ecosystem than one might expect

The flora and fauna of the Sahara are far richer than one might imagine. During our expeditions, travelers can observe various wild animal species and learn to identify native plants, such as the different species of acacia, by examining their leaves and thorns. These plants play a vital role in the daily life of the nomads.

A unique connection between travelers and local guides

A close collaboration for an authentic experience

All these elements are carefully managed by our travel team, ensuring close cooperation between local guides and European companions. The latter spend the entire tourist season in Chad, acting as intermediaries between the traveler and a different but essential reality compared to Europe.
